12 generations, and a history dating back to 1626. But then that's hardly anyting to write home about in Alsace! This is not just Pinot Grigio. This is Alsation Pinot Gris. The longer hang time, and frankly, entireley dofferent mentality as to what the grape is capable is what sets Alsation Pinot Gris in a different league to the neutral white wine so beloved of generic pub wine lists. 
 
A food-friendly wine, with an aromatic, floral nose and a generous palate, lifted by freshness and acidity. Pear, lemon and a lick of riper stone fruit. Just a little hint of off-dry which you'd barely notice but makes it fantastic to pair with spicy food.
