Hombre en Llamas Carignan, 2019
Itata in southern Chile receives a luscious 700-1000ml rain per year, thanks to the influence of the Pacific ocean fog condensing over the region. This wine is made from Carignan from old vines. Unlike a French Carignan, this wines shows a lighter body and bursts with juicy berry fruits - strawberry, cherry, cranberry as well as base notes of chocolate and leather. A wild, herbal quality, and juicy acidity adds to the overall sense of vibrancy and balances the textural tannins.
