A fragrant bouquet of sweet flowers greets you here with a nose inflused with jasmine, gardenia andorange blossom. Simply divine. A basket of green apple, lemon, lime and peach join with slatey minerality and a little hint of kerosene. This joyous wine just delivers on every level! The sweetness-acidity dynamic creates a beautiful tension that resolves with perfectly harmonious balance.

An off-dry riesling (technically Kabinett but really more like a Spatlese if you know your German wine law) is the perfect pairing for spicy or rich foods. The sweet curves here are balanced by racy acidity - this is no cloying wine - is what makes it so food friendly. Try it with rich cheeses, foie gras or other patés, smoked salmon, scallops, fruit desserts (dessert shouldn't be sweeter than the wine), Thai, Vietnamese, Sushi, even Goose or Pork with apple sauce and stuffing.

Wines from Herrenberg are known for aging beautifully - even over decades.

    VIGNETTE / vin'yet

    1. A frame that draws attention to the centre.

    2. A brief but powerful scene.

From the Middle French vignete, a diminutive form of the noun vigne meaning 'vine': an illustration of vine tendrils around the borders of a page.

Oh, hey! Let’s keep in touch!

    Thanks!
